1. Overview

Path: Quit Nicotine ("Path", "we", "us") is a nicotine cessation app developed by ClearPath Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

We are committed to collecting only what is necessary to make the app work, and never selling your personal information.

2. Data We Collect

2a. Data you provide

• Anchor photo and name — a photo and name you associate with your reason for quitting. Stored locally on your device and optionally synced via iCloud.
• Habit profile — your smoking/vaping type, daily baseline, pack cost, and quit date. Stored locally and optionally synced via iCloud.
• Daily logs — your recorded nicotine use per day. Stored locally and optionally synced via iCloud.

2b. Data collected automatically

• Purchase and subscription data — handled by RevenueCat. Includes your App Store purchase receipt and an anonymous device identifier. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
• Crash and diagnostic data — Apple may collect anonymised crash reports if you have opted in to share analytics with developers via iOS Settings.

2c. Data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account credentials.
• We do not use advertising SDKs or track you across other apps.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. iCloud Sync

If you are signed into iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, your habit data and logs are synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not accessible to us. Apple's privacy policy governs this data: apple.com/legal/privacy.

4. Notifications

Path may send local push notifications for daily reminders and milestone celebrations. These are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external server or third-party notification service. You can disable them at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Path.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is never accessible to us. Subscription management is powered by RevenueCat solely to verify entitlement status. No financial data is stored by us.

6. Children's Privacy

Path is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

All your data lives on your device (and optionally your private iCloud). To delete all data, simply delete the Path app from your device. This removes all locally stored data. iCloud data can be deleted via iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Path.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
